Character Name/Alias: Chrissy Cunningham
Character age: 18
Canon: Stranger Things
Canon point: Season 4, episode 1

History: wiki
Appearance: here

Personality: Chrissy is a little ray of sunshine. She's generally cheerful and unwaveringly kind to everyone she meets, and is popular because she's so genuine and kind to everyone at school. Yes, she's the head cheerleader. And she's definitely dating the King of school, making her the Queen of Hawkins High. But Chrissy doesn't have a mean word to say about anyone. She definitely breaks the mold of what to expect when dealing with a popular girl, particularly when it comes to what's down beneath the surface.

As much as she enjoys cheerleading, Chrissy is a little meek and introverted. When her boyfriend draws attention to her at a school pep rally, she gives a tight lipped smile in return and doesn't particularly seem to enjoy all eyes on her when she's singled out. She has a ton of friends, but doesn't feel comfortable going to any of them to confide in them when things are rough. She keeps things to herself and puts a smile on her face to try and conceal the fact that she's pretty miserable on the inside.

She's going through a lot at her canon point, with a mother who criticizes her appearance and has driven her to an eating disorder. Chrissy wants to be perfect, but struggles with actually being able to obtain it. She's willing to harm herself in order to get there, and needs to learn that perfection is something unattainable. She's also being mentally tortured at her canon point by a monster named Vecna, who is inducing auditory and visual hallucinations upon her. She's seen the school counselor, most likely for her eating disorder, but doesn't reach out for help when it comes to her mental deterioration and distress.

By the time she reaches out to Eddie to try and get drugs to calm her mind, it's already too late. Chrissy's biggest downfall is the fact she didn't reach out to her friends or her boyfriend for help. While she enjoys their company, they're not necessarily close to her. And she doesn't seem to really trust them. Her most genuinely showed bond is with Eddie Munson when she goes to him to buy drugs. She becomes more animated around him, more willing to reveal what's going on. And while she doesn't completely confide in him, she quickly comes to trust him enough to get in his van with him and go back to his trailer. Showing that Chrissy is capable of forming solid bonds with other people outside of the social circle she's been running around in.

She tends to apologize for giving her opinion or taking up space, a habit she needs to break herself from doing. After growing up under her mother's thumb, she's so used to having to hide what she's thinking and feeling in order to avoid being criticized. And whenever she's put in a position where she thinks she's being an inconvenience, she tends to shrink back and away. She desperately needs to realize that she doesn't have to apologize for existing, and that it's okay for her to take up as much space as she wants.

What did they do to end up here?: Attempted to buy drugs, cheated on a test in Spanish once, breaking and entering for parties at the abandoned Benny's Burgers, underage drinking, lying to her mother on a consistent basis to keep the peace, wearing bright blue eyeshadow is a serious fashion crime no matter what decade you're from
