[Chrissy knows that what they're doing is wrong. She's still with Jason, but they decided that it's better for her to wait to end things with him. It's safer if they keep holding out and sneaking around. Whenever she's with Eddie, it's easy to forget about anything and everything except for him. She loses herself in him completely, putting Jason and the rest of Hawkins High out of focus. All that matters is the two of them and the little world they make for themselves.
Today, that little world exists is their clearing in the woods right outside of school. No one ever comes here except for him, and the few people who are brave enough to seek Eddie out to buy drugs off of him during school hours. So far, no one's ever caught her out here with him. Which is nice, because it's like they've got a secret place that's just theirs. She loves going to his trailer. Absolutely gets a thrill of the things they get up to in the back of his van. But being out at the picnic table is nice in its own right.
His vest is stripped off, laid out on top of the wooden tabletop for her. She's reclined back atop it, sprawled out lazily across the tabletop. He's sitting on the bench beside her, his hands resting on her stomach. She idly plays with the rings on his fingers as they talk. They've just finished off a joint that she rolled herself, Chrissy's first time ever to give it a try. Things are calm and they're both content, the quiet conversation between them nothing more than flirtatious banter.
It's nice, she thinks. She's willing to cut class every day if they get to share moments like this one.]
I've been thinking. [She turns her head to look up at him, smiling a little.] About coming out to the Hideout to see your show this week.
[It's a risk for her to do that. There may be people there who see her, and Jason may hear of it. But the longer this thing between them goes on, the less she cares about him finding out. Really, she almost wishes that he would so they can stop sneaking around like what they have is something that needs to be hidden.]
