Her mom has plenty to say about it. Her friends have a whole lot to say too. But Billy's become her closest friend, and she trusts him. He helped her ditch Jason once and for all, and she'll always be grateful to him for that. And really, it's not like she and Billy are actually together. No matter what kind of awful things her mom says to her, Chrissy just lets them roll off her back. It's just like the comments about her weight or her appearance. They hurt but don't matter in the long run.
As soon as she graduates she's getting the hell out of Hawkins.
It's just too bad that probably means leaving Billy behind too. He's the only thing getting her by these days.
They're currently parked in his car beneath a tree on the outskirt of the parking lot. Everyone else has long since gone home, but she's just escaped cheer practice and he's just finished with basketball. He's smoking, and she's watching his smoke cloud gather up at the top of the car. Music's playing, but she's not really listening to it. Her attention is focused on someone else that's still lingering on campus.
Eddie Munson must be done with whatever club he's a part of, because it's nearly 5:00 and he's just now heading out to his van. His arms are full of...well, it looks like swords or something ridiculous. Maybe he's part of the school play or something. Chrissy thinks that would suit him. He seems to be struggling with the armful he's carrying, and she excuses herself from Billy's company for a minute to jog across the parking lot to go help.]
Eddie, right?
[She calls out as she approaches, smiling and tucking hair behind her ear. Yeah, those are definitely prop swords.]
Here, let me help you with that.
[Is it weird for the head cheerleader to be coming out of nowhere and offering to help him with his weapons? Probably. It's only made more weird by the fact Billy is definitely watching over in his corner of the parking lot, and every single person who goes to Hawkins knows they're dating. Even Eddie. Billy made that abundantly clear in front of everyone at the end of the last pep rally.]
